They look great! I'm anxious to put them on. I am just debating on whether to bolt them on or weld them on. They come with what seems to be a black PC'd finish, and it would be kind of a shame to burn that welding, but no doubt it would be the most durable.
These are very similar to the ones that I was trying to buy from Tony Kellner (Barry Hawk's mechanic) years ago. But Santo's are a much nicer finished product. And, $36 is a reasonable price for such quality. I'll post pics of them mounted too.

I tested those out for Santo's dad back in like 95 I believe. They are great, no feet slipping off with those puppies at all!!!

To be fair, Daryl's are made of 10ga (.135) Stainless that is why they are more, nothing against Santo's.

I ran another syle of extenders with regular AC nerfs on my old 250x by bolting them through the nerfs then the extenders into the footpegs with no problem at all.

I have had Santo's peg extenders for about a year, no trouble. I ordered mine for pro pegs so they would be wider. I use them with nerf bars, and can't imagine riding without them. All you have to do is use a spacer in the back. I will put a picture in this post of mine instaled.

One more post. When you order them you can tell Santo how wide you want them. He can make them any width, same price.

weld them! less bolts to break and less nuts to strip. welding them will leave a cleaner look as well.

You work with him? That's a great mechanic there, Barry hardly ever DNF'd. That says alot about the man behind the wrench!!!!http://www.ricoracing.netfirms.com/Smilies/bowdown.gif

I have some propegs that are worn down... could I just buy these & bolt them to them & get the same effect & longer lasting as a new set of propegs?

12-23-2003, 02:06 PM
spliffy you can do that for sure.

he makes a set specificly for propegs. I beleive they are stainless steel for the propegs.
