i was just wondering if anyone has a complete hmf on their 400ex. i don't want a pipe that sticks out past the grab so it hits the ground before the grab bar. i am looking for good power. i have seen the dyno charts for their complete vs slip on and the slip on seems to produce as much power. is this true? by the way, i am running a 10.5:1 compresssion 406, stage 1, filter, jets, etc. i have been comparing the hmf complete, x-4, and graydon pipes. any suggestions would be great.

I would go to the hmf website & see if they have a pic of one mounted.

Prob could go on ebay & search for 400ex Hmf & find some pics.

Just wait a day or two, Im sure somebody will post a pic.

But Im pretty sure it won't hit the ground before the grab bar, there would be a lot of returned pipes.

yeah i didn't think it did on the slip on, but i didn't know if the complete sat any different?? also, i was contemplating about the horsepower gains with the full. on the dyno on hmf's website, it looks as if the complete produces less power??

PM Pappy, he had the full system.

One of the guys from HMF is a member here, you could try PM'ing him too.

I likt the angle that the silencer is mounted compared to the Sparks, my Sparks has hit the rear brake a couple times and dented the can, but my brothers HMF clears no problem

i think the only reason the dyno was the same is beacuse the engine is stock but since u have some motor work i would probally go for the full system:o

i don't know if many of you know this, but hmf redid their headpipe and the new one has been in production for about 6 months. they just don't have a dyno of it yet, so the old headpipe dyno is on their site. also, i don't think they really mentioned that they re-did it because i didn't know.
