What strong MX Engine I can put into EX frame to make it much better.

well service honda just came out with a kit that lets you put a 2001 cr 250 motor in a 400ex you can check it out at www.servicehonda.com

um the 250r would have the beefer tranny for the added stress from the extra traction, but i dont think the CR250 tranny would break anytime soon cause all the crfs ive seen thrown in EX's are the dirtbike trannys and they dont seem to break at all. so i think the CR250 would be a very good motor to put in the EX. i just hope their mounting kit is rubber mounted cause that cr motor will vibrate alot more than the trx250r motor.

He's probably just wanting honda, but what about a KTM 250? With orange plastic and KTM graphics would have a lot of people wondering.

I think the reason is the KTMs are harder to get ahold of used.

Go for a CR250 engine. I'm sure you can find a used CR250. Year doesn't matter too much. Just make sure you rubber mount it and torque it down good.

getter a snowmobile engine, and bolt that baby in there. then strap on a turbocharger and some NOS. then run that in drag races, i wouldnt try her in mx.

in all reality, prolly a cr250 engine would work the best.

If anybody didn't understood me, I want to put 250R into honda ex.

KTM 250 VS 250R , who is better?

are they gonna fit to the ex?
other 2 stroke engines u guys can offer?

Why? Unless you don't have an EX motor it would cost more then building a good 440.


I would use the TRX motor. It may not put out the power of the CR but it would not rattle the frame apart either. The CR motor would crack motor mounts like it was going out of style. I had the counter balencer off on my R a few teeth and it cracked the front motor mount and the head stay.
