stroker or big bore kit

I am thinking of giving the x a little more. Which would I see the most performance gains with a stroker or a 288 big bore kit? I have the mods listed in my sig and my motor 10-15 hours off of new everything so I am leaning towards the stroker. What do you guys think?

the stroker will give you more torque and the big bore will give you more top speed...depends on which you are looking for...the stroker is more expensive

How did you figure the stroker was higher priced?
Just curious....If it was because of labor was higher ...I would be doing it myself.

its not labor...they cost more to buy...if they were cheaper id have 1 right now...but they are around $500 for a 400ex i dunno about ur bike

I found a company where they stroker was actually cheaper than the 288 big bore kit. But you have to send them your crank and rod.

you can get a stroker, but when you do i would recommend geting a heavy duty rod with that, must strokers run around 500$ and up for you to have done, and that does not include to have them installed but will add torque to your motor and im sure you will be pleased with the results i would do the stroker over the big bore.

That is the deal. The kit I saw only had a stock rod.

checkout profabatv he did the machine work on my 250x toa 300 bigbore and it is more than i exspected it to be. plenty of torque and pulls all the way to the rev limiter. im running a 14/36 gear no problem.

i dont have much cash at all(14).wut about hot cams?do they give good power?
