If that's all you have and aren't going to be getting any more $$ anytime soon, I would say get some Oury ATV grips - they're $8 plus shipping I think from C&D and they are a ton better then stock - use the rest of it to get a cheap cr style lever and perch maybe...

I'd say go for a sparks timing advance key only $17 from C&D racing. Defiantly the best 17 bucks I ever spent. Do a search to learn more about it.

Our Ignition Advance Key simply takes the place of the stock woodruff key and advances the timing six degrees instantly!

What does that actually do? Well, it peps up the motor. Bottom end all the way through top end is increased.

Response from riders who have tried the ignition advance key has been awesome! This is a must have for every 400EX owner. The key simple to install and works well with stock 400EX's . Not recommended for high compression or big bore motors because advanced timing does not seem to work well in these situations.

I'd go with the parking brake block off and clutch lever & perch. In the long run it will save you money on rear pads.

Don't worry about the people that seem to have a ton of money to dump into their quads. Most of us have to start with the small stuff.;) Just be happy you have something to ride and enjoy:)

Get A sparks timing advance key , their $15-20 .... and kill switch is good too...

1. Clymer service manual $20-25 (well worth it)
2. Block off plate $10-15 (stops e-brake wearing pads)
3. Sparks Key. $15-17
4. CR style clutch lever & perch $20

Then start saving for a pipe & jets!!!!!
