In an old issue of dirt wheels they had some renthal 400ex bend bars on them, and they said it was more cofortable than stock.

As far as the plastic goes... if you have the mounting tab still... Get some Devcon platic epoxy from your local Wal-Mart. This stuff is great for repairing broken plastic. From the back side, just sort of "v" out the crack and apply this stuff. When it hardens, you can sand it or whatever. You could even make a new tab to reattach if you dont have the old one. This stuff can be drilled and everything without cracking. We use it all the time on atv plastic and street bike plastics. *shrugs* At under $3 for a tube of this, I would try this before you go and buy new plastic.

Plastic welding works good...if you can get it done reasonable priced. As a sidenote on the Devcon, I had repaired a Ninja that had really ragged out plastic with that stuff... got into an accident last summer. (someone pulled out of a blind driveway) Flipped the bike...and trashed the plastic again... the plastic was cracked all over... but not along any of the seams where I had the devcon. Actually had some cracks that ran across the plastic and stopped when the crack joined the devcon spots. Hehehe since then Ive swore by it ;)

Drill holes around the crack and stitch it up like putting stitches in cut,,,cheap and will hold up for a long time.
