I have a set of Razr's 20-11-9 on back stock rims that someone had welded one of those reinforcement rings onto the outside. It works very well. I have not bent or popped a bead in about 8 XC races with them. I was thinking about having the same thing done to the fronts, both inner and outer. I also have a set of ???? plain alum. aftermarket rears with 22-11-9 Razr 2's on them. Is this worth doing? I can get the rings made at work or buy them for around 20$ and a friend welds aluminum. Has anyone done this and been happy with it? Thanks!

I've seen it done on stock wheels before, But they dont need it near as bad as regualr .190 rims. Stock is already quite a bit stronger beacuse they have the rolled edge. I would deffinatly do it on your regular aluminum rims.
