Hey guys whats up. Heh havent been around in a while. Well anyways, a friend of mine that i haven't spoke with in about 6 months calls me the other day. He bought a 400ex. He was riding it in the snow the other day, and it just stopped running. And it wont start. I haven't seen the bike, nor have I messed with. And he gives a pretty bad description at that. Anyways, he said he changed the oil, its getting gas and spark, but it just wont run. He has gas in it just for all the funny guys :). You guys have any idea what it might be?
Im sure he'd appreciate any help.
Thanks Alot

Well like i said, i havent actually seen it in person. But the bike was running good for a while from what he told me. So i dont really know. I talked to my friend Broque and he told me it sounds like it might have been running to lean and it fried. I really dont know because i haven't seen the bike. Thats why i was asking :)

did u take the seat off cause that happened to me on my 250ex after i was done riding i parked it and couldnt get it started so i took the seat off and saw that the red wire with the metal at the end was loose and not contacting with the metal part on the battery so i tightened the screw that makes it contact and it started right up
duno if thats a good explanation im jus tryin to help

i would also make sure he didn't accidently hit the run switch off or that he didn't leave the choke on.

yeah, the choke is a good idea, i didnt think of that. But if he did, it should still start later on after he let it sit a while. I asked him about the switch, he said he had it on run :)

Maybe he blew the fuse. Check that.
