Mod needed in the freestyle fourm

I don't think it is just me that thinks this but now we don't have wired visiting this site anymore it seems to me that the freestyle fourm has really been ignored by the other mods. So I guess my suggestion is having a mod to medorate the freestyle fourm. Over the past few weeks we have had many threads that don't really belong in that fourm. Like people putting quads up for sale, people showing their riding areas etc.

funny you should post this! i was just about to write harlen a PM requesting i be put on mod in the freestyle forum. august never comes on and the guetters almost never do either. i don't see much of the normal mods over there either. its gettin a little crazy there. i have past mod experience and i am well informed in the area of freestyle so not to toot my own horn but i think i'd be a good candidate. plus i am on the forum all the time.

exactly personally I think that you should be the first in line because you have been around quite a bit longer than alot of us that visit the site. But I guess we'll see what harlen has to say about it :)

haha hes just mad cuz i have pointed out a couple things about him in the past. i'll say this tho (and not to get on his good side either) hes gotten ALOT better than he used to be. and jumbo you have to admit even if you don't like me i'm a pretty good candidate for the freestyle forum mod (and thats not to say nausty or whoever else isn't just as good of one).

yah i know...im never in the freestyle forum anyway.....what did we fight about anyway juggalo? was it when i said i flipped the shocks upside down on the warrior (which i actually did) but then also said I did it on the 400ex (a little lie) which isn't possible b/c of the different upper & lower mount sizes? my *** should have prob. been banned for a few things, im always tip toeing the lines, im bound to step over one day....same way in school & job & everything I seem to do. It's always been like that really..:(

he doesn't apparently, you'd think hed at least have the decency to say so but i guess not. i talked to pappy about it and he told me he doesn't think it'll happen and the other mods check that forum, but no offense to any of them but they don't really know how to run it right. it has gotten better tho so i think their checkin it more. BTW i'm a mod over at the hbombfilms forum now, so if you want some more freestyle info check them out, but theres a ton of punks over there!

yeah I talked to pappy a little bit and he said, that if we don't think the thread should be there we should report it. Congrats on the mod over at the hbombsite :)

i will speak to harlen about replacing a moderator or two that arent on the site enough to make a difference. i would also like to express this thought..feeliing whatever...


it seems if one of us regular mods say something lately all we get is a bunch of BS from the clicks of teenagers that seem to band together when ever we have to step in. (not naming anyone just pointing it out)

now you all know ive taken more time with the younger members then anyone and that goes way back before i was even a mod. but i have to tell you that my patience wears thin with the incesant bashing that seems to pop up when ever a warning or banning takes place. and not to pick on teenagers alone some of these wack jobs are adults with the mentality of a groundhog.

id love to see someone else step in and help police the freestyle section and i would like to see it be one of you guys that are really into that stuff( i do look at the pictures but i couldnt tell ya much about doin tricks unless wrecking is a trick:p )

so i will speak with harlen and drop a few suggestions to him...thats the best i can do.

Kenny just let me do it. I don't care if anybody likes me or not I bet I could clean it up in a matter of hours:devil: .

I know some of you are going to hate this response from me but I recommended that we remove the freestyle forum totally and let all the freestyle talk and pics take place at Hbombs. I'm sure it will work much better over there since it is a freestyle based page and it will be watched better.

Look at it this way. All the mods on exriders are older and really don't care much to browse thru the freestyle forum. Don't take this the wrong way guys, it's just the truth. I haven't been in that forum in a month or 2. We've brought on 2 guys to moderate the forum and I'm guessin it's not happening.:(

Juggalo I'll submit your name to Harlen as being a mod in the freestyle forum, but when you become a mod you have to be a dik sometimes and not think about friends in the sport you love but whats best for the page, which means locking threads and keeping an eye on everything, and possibly submiting a member to be banned.

This is just my opinion and don't think i hate freestyle or anyone that is into freestyle. Us old farts just can't dig it I guess..:cool:

pappy you first, i agree with everything you said with the banning issues, but its just somethin that goes with the job you know, kinda like being a police officer, look how many people bad mouth them for doing their job. i know you don't deserve all the flak you get, especially somebody who makes themselves such a good guy to all the younger members here but hey, if they don't like it they can go elsewhere thats what you guys always say and i say so too.

rico- you know, i almost agree with you. i mean there are the hbomb forums thats true, but believe it or not the members over there are waaay less mature than the ones here. theirs a ton of punks there. then theres the quadfmx forums, they are good but theres little activity there. thats why i think its good to keep it here since you have the highest member count, good posters, and the most pros/specialists. but i see your point of view too, because really its not very informative compared to most of the other sections.

people right now might be sayin hey dave, you have a little brown on your nose right now...well i'm not trying to suck up. thats just what i think. i appreciate you guys suggesting to harlen that i be put on for mod. i know if i get the position i can handle it but if i don't i understand that too, because i'm not a supporting member, i don't get to go on all the cool elite trips, i'm probably the youngest mod ever at 18 years old (19 in march woo!) and you know whatever else. i'm just pleased to see we finally got some sort of response here from people higher up on the ladder. as long as the site is bettered because of this thread (even if that means the freestyle section is removed- which i hope its not although i see the benefits) i will be satisfied.

Yes, there will be some changes coming soon. Have some patience, this issue has been brought to the front burner.
We long time mods have learned not to make fast decisions, we tend to feel things out and discuss how they will work for the site. Howie

but thats 100% true, I don't think the freestyle fourm should be locked and deleted and then send over to hbomb or quadfmx. Why because we would probley loose site of alot of new up and comers that are entering this sport. But I can't really say to much that jugg's hasn't already said. I guess we will just have to wait and see. At least were finally getting some oppions from the mods :)
