can i use the same chain w/14 and 39 sprocket?

i have a stock 400 ex with a 15 front and 38 rear. i was wondering if i could still use the same chain if i changed it to a 14 and 19 sprocket combo. would it still work?if not can i just stick on a front 14 without a problem?

no ive talked to my local dealer about this topic and he said if you get new sprokets you are going to haev to get a chain,so ye u will need a new one

the length will be fine. If your old sprockets are worn out, then I would get a chain too.

i use the same chain for 14/38 15/38 16/38 all with 1 3/8 slack.

it has no wear at all, its only 3 weeks new :) and could i just adjust the chain to give it more or less slack?
