Right now I have a full FMF Megamax II exhaust which came on the quad when I bought it. I have the opportunity to sell it to a friends (for maybe $160? or so). It came on the bike when I bought it and it sounds alright but not something that I would pick. Does anyone have any sound clips of the HMF slip-on? The price is very attractive but I'd be running my stock headpipe if I sold the exhaust. Any opinions are welcome (other exhaust etc.).

the hmf slip-on is not gunna give u anymore power,to get more power u need a full exhaust w/a bigger headpipe.my tc racing exhaust has a huge header and it looks and sounds awsome!!!i highly recomend it!i also highly recommend the sparks exhaust, and hetrick racing exhaust systems.
hope i helped.:)

Umm, i have to disagree with ya. The slip on does add some punch. I love mine.

The sounds is alittle poppy.

stick with a slip on you'll loose bottom end torque on a stock motor if you go with a larger head pipe and the hmf is a great exhaust twice the exhaust you fmf is

If you do change exhaust systems stay w/ a full system. I noticed alot of bottem end gain, even when I had a stock motor on my '02. :D

I"ve read a couple pipe shootouts that the full pipe is a waste of money. The WB E series slip on I believe won the shoot out of the best of the best.

i have been told that the header on a 300ex will make a difference. i talked to a few guys that love their sparks pipes on their 300. i don't have any experience with the 300, but on a 400 a complete doesn't add too much until you build it up a bit.

Just go with the HMF, the sound is amazing and it sounds like an ANIMAL, and the power increases are extremely noticable;)
