hey, my friend has a 98' polaris trailblazer 250. we replaced the head gasket this morning because it went out a few days ago.... anyways, he's got a HotSEAT pipe on it otherwise stock. We ran it around in the snow this morning for about and hour, going full throttle most the time in the snow drifts and such. All of the sudden it died, and wouldn't start again. We assumed vapor lock because we noticed the gas line is in the wrong spot. then we checked the spark plug...... its done F.ed up. Its real white/gray and its real rough, like sand paper.....any ideas? We havnt started it again.-darren

I'm almost posotive its not lean, we checked it before we changed the head gasket and it was perfect. we're thinking the oil pump went out.-darren

Riding in the snow at full throttle can be a little rough on the motor, especially if it is air cooled. Alot of high RPM's/tire spin and little air movement around the motor or through the radiator equals high motor temps. Not a good thing.
Put a new plug in it and see what happens.
