It's just as easy as the main jet.

I would put a 40 or 42 in it and you will want to turn the cab on its side to be able to get the bowl off.

Sorry for this stupid question but I completely forgot where the pilot jet is since I haven't touched my carbeurator in like 2 months, where is my pilot jet?:o

right next to the main jet... but you need to take the whole bottom of the carb off not just the main jet cap...

Thanks for the reply chrisp but I found it already and went out and bought myself a size 42 pilot jet and a size 45 pilot jet. I installed the 42 charged up my battery put everything back together great, but my quad still won't start, I sat there and fooled with the choke and everything, any of you guys have any clue why this thing won't start, because I'm baffled. I would prefer not to put in the 45 but if I have to I will.

My specs:

155 main keihin main jet
42 pilot jet in now (have a 45 and a 38)
HMF slip on
3-1/2 turns out on air/fuel

Fuel screw seems a little rich. Set it at 2 turns from closed and try it.

Ok, thanks man, if that doesn't work I guess I'll try to take it to a shop, even though I know the carbeurator like the back of my hand now:rolleyes:

The 42 pilot makes your carb alot easier to flood. 3 1/2 turns out is way to much. I'd try 2 turns out like hondafox440 said.

Also, make sure you get a new plug. By the sounds of it you probably have fouled you plug.

Try this when starting:

Turn gas On. (leave choke off)

See if it starts.

If it doesnt start, then pump the throttle a couple of times and try again.

If it starts for a sec then shuts off, try it again. If you do this a few times and it wont stay running, put the choke on a little bit.

Let us know how it goes.

Will-do, thanks for going more into depth man. I'm done for today though, I have a splitting headache from inhailing all the fumes from my carb. sheesh.:eek2:

No prob, I know how much of a pain jetting is. Ive been working on my jetting for 2 months and finally have it dialed in good.
Let us know how it goes!
