why not just get a 300, or even a 400? I probably should have gotten a 400 instead of buildin my 330..i kinda regret puttin all that money in the 300..but if u want to keep tha 250...get that powroll 246 kit...seems pretty good to me

i run a full pro circuit pipe with a stock airbox and stock filter. i dont have all that much trouble running with a 300 on a track.

i rode with 4wheelboy a few months ago, and at the time he had a stock 300ex, and you can ask him yourself, i was keeping up with him pretty good.

i really wouldn't recommend modifying a 250, since it's not really worth it. but if you insist, get yourself a T-4 exhaust, open up the airbox, and if you want, get yourself a web cam. that should be enough.

note: you CANNOT use the web cam and the powroll kit together.

Ok man time for me to tell you the truth. I had an 01 250ex and pimped it out way more than I should have. If you plan on modifying the motor you had better plan on keeping that quad for a long time. The resale on these, especially modified ones is horrible. When I went to sell mine, I felt raped at what was offered to me. I had to strip almost all the bolt on aftermarket stuff off and part it out to get some kind of money back.

Yeah it is cool to have something that not too many people have, but I suggest you think how long you wanna keep that 250ex. I needed lots more power, so I sold mine and bought a 400. Sure glad I did.

redroost said it exactly. when i had the recon it turned everyone's head that i went by. but i think i put way too much money into that, and i knew i wouldnt get much for it. yea its cool having a quad like that, but its not worth it. they dont have enough power even when modded.

Wicked, lol...I shoulda sold you mine! You would have a 250ex already fully pimped. No doubt my ride was a looker.....when they passed me. That's when I knew I had enough and needed more umph.

Most of the parts I bought off a friend who had a parts business (now he is one of my sponsors, lol!) so I got some things at a pretty discounted price, but it all added up. I sold it pretty bone stock for $2000. I made more money by parting out most of the stuff on my ride. I still think 2 grand was a rip. My ride was in incredibly good shape. Oh well, now I got the 400 and I am very happy!

There aren't that many companys that make products for the 250ex, but you can still get some. Try rockymountainatv.com (http://www.rockymountainatv.com) or dinniskirk.com (http://www.dinniskirk.com).

 You are going to powdercoat your 250ex's arms?:huh They have permanently sealed ball joints. Unless you don't care about that, which is your call, but the joints will wear out much faster.

Also, pc'ing your handlebar...never heard of that, but to each their own.

Let us know how that works out for ya.;)
