Im just wondering what are the best rims to buy that are worth their price tag? Ive been heavily considering some douglas 9" beadlocks from Burgard for $240 but im starting to have some doubts on that price. I want a rim that wont bend totally easily and something that is pretty shiny and nice lookin too. My friend has douglas red labels but his rears bent pretty damn easy so im not to fond of them. Thanks in advance

Don't get Douglas rims. I bought the .190's and a set of razors. The rims loose there "shine" quckly and dent easily. I have put a nice size dent in my rim from hitting a rotted log. They dent on stuff that my stockers wouldn't.

Also, Hipers are a good choice.

HiPer. If it breaks, you can replace the part, instead of having to buy an entire new rim.

id say douglas ultimates... the only draw back to the hypers is u cant go half *** on them, or it looks queer

hipers, because they will flex back to their original shape instead of bending like aluminum rims.

if you don't want a beadlock rim just stick with stock. you can find them cheap, they have a rolled edge, and their tough as a mofo!

Yes, If you get a beadlock choose hiper. Cracked pieces can be replaced, has a combination of materials to make them flex better and last longer than aluminum rims. I have only heard one complaint with them.

If you dont, stay with stock. I have never bent a stock rim, but have .190 douglas's.

I cannot comment on hipers other than I would like to try them but your best investment by far in an aluminum rim is Douglas BILLET ultimates.

Do not be confused by those on ebay trying to pawn spun aluminum off as ULTIMATE billets. :grr:

Is that 200 per rim or per pair for the Hiper's?

The price at C&D is pretty dang good. If you cant afford a good set of beadlocks for trail riding then stick with stock. Stock wheels are twice the rim that a douglas wheel is, for less money. Don't buy anything less than a .190 wheel, unless its for riding soft dunes only.

Another option is the ITP-T9 Baja. They have reinforcement rings rolled into the edge on both sides. They are about $90-100 each.

I was going to get them until I came across some Hipers:D

You can get new ones from servicehonda.com but they are nearly $200 EACH:eek2:
Used ones come for sale here and on ebay quite often.

Burgard beadlocks are probably the best rims you can buy if your on a budget. If money isn't a problem I'd go with hipers..

C&D is running a special on the burgard rims also..

i think i decided on gettin the douglas beadlocks from c&d racing for 220 and then get some 20x11x9 razr2s for about 140. i would like to get some hipers but they are way too much money.

I have nothing but good things to say about my hipers. I've put them through hell and back to where I pry would have gone through 2 or more regular sets of rims and these are still going on strong. Not only that but if I do mannage to break a part I only have to buy a single part of the wheel and not an entirely new one.

Not to mention I think they look great!

Definetly Hiper is worth every cent, they are even garunteed for 1 year, also those douglas shamrock wheels seem to be pretty hot and strong..But the hipers are the shyt:devil:

.190s suck period. i bent my dads itp .190s that came on his 400ex by hitting a root in 2nd gear low throttle. they are junk. My buddy also made his rims look like mushrooms. he bent them back out somehow.

I might just have my stock rims PC'ed black until i get enough money to get either Burgard Beadlocks, or Hypers. :p
