What would be the best clutch and clutch perch for under $50? I have narrowed it down to either RTC or MSR Raptor? Which one is easier to pull and better quality?

No it was about the same. I put a new cable on while I was at it.

I did not get the shorty. I got MSR levers with the grippy stuff on the front of them. The CR brake lever won't work with the 400ex.

I can't compare the msr & the rtc however I can compare the rtc & cr - the rtc is much much better at least on a 250r

Go with RTC. But I got a new cable, and lubed it, and took off the little spring where it connects to my case, and its GREAT! Saved me money too.
