I just got my new E-series slip on and k&n filter and also a moose jet kit Today. Is there anything I need to know to make it easer , before I start. everyone sayes to use the 12 discs, which I think I will try. Thanks

My $.02.

More disk = more topend
Less disk = more low end

You will also need to rejet. For starters try a 42 pilot, 155 main, possibly drop your needle 1-2 notchs.

peace

I have the same setup - I'm running 40 pilot and 152 main with the needle in the stock position. But 42/155 might be a good place to start since it's winter

haha, that is the exact setup I am running. However, I think I am running kind of lean though.:D

I am running the WB e-series with 8 discs. I have a K/N air filter and a .170 main jet. I am running a little rich but it seems to be working good for me.

The moose jet kit is Dynojet

The 146 Dynojet is one size larger than the 148 stock jet.

The whole key to jetting the the air to gas ratio. The biggest jet that comes with the DynoJet is a .170 which I am running with a K/N and a e-series pipe.

Also Keep in mind that the Elevation plays a role also. the Higher the elevation the smaller the jet that is needed. I am in the plains of Nebraska which is pretty low = bigger jet.

I tried that whole jet chart thing, and its crap. I installed a 146, and after doing a plug test, it was white as snow. I ended up with a 165, clip on the 3rd, and 3 1/2 turns out on the screw. I ordered my 42 piolet yesterday;)

I run what the jet kit told me to run. I'm probably a little rich, but thats better than being lean. And my bike runs strong. And I can't say this enough "USE SEARCH." There is so much useful info on this site already. And you will be more informed using search. That way you can weed out the "not so accurate" info people give.

I already drilled out my piloit jet to 42 with some # bits I have so I just need to put in the right main jet. Thanks everyone.
