whats the easiest way to fold the packing into my big gun pipe?

The tighter you pack it the more topend you'll have the looser the more bottom end. Any more i buy a packing kit that comes ready to install as one piece. No wrapping or fitting, it's pre-wrapped for easy install..:cool:
