If your trail riding i would think that you would. As for the banshee IMO i think that you would be happier with the 400ex because of less maintance:macho

If you are new to quads, I would run the 400ex = 4 strokes are easier to work on. IMO.

ive been thinking about this for a while and i just dont know most of the trails around here are flat an straight so i dont wanna get left, i probably weigh 20 lbs more than them so that factors in as well, as far as working on the bike, i have no problem rebuilding a engine or whatever i have the equipment to repair the frame as well, im leaning toward the 400ex but i didnt wann cross out the shee, thanks for the advice ill probly try to pick up a cheap 400exand bore it out to 440 or so to keep up with the 450,

thanks

im in central louisiana the main place to ride around here is an old army camp, most the trails that i know are realy flat and straight, there is a place called the dunes but their kinda small if youve ever seen some real dunes but its pretty good for sand drags

for what its worth i bought a 04 tld :D polaris predator, i didnt want any probs that would come with a used quad and the local honda dealer woundnt give me a good deal on a 400ex, so i went to polaris, the bad thing about our local honda dealer is that they dont deal at all. they know all of their bikes are going to be sold so they dont have to deal with their customers, oh well im happy with my predator, it runs great and no major problems so far

thanks

good luck w/ your pred bro, they run strong and handle good, but my broken frame and cracked fender mounts and electrical problems kinda make me regret the purchace.

sorru to hear that 440, i scratched up enough money to put a good down payment on a new bike, i wanted either an ex or 450r but the honda dealer blew the sale ( i was basicly trying to sell myself the bike) so i went across the street and bought a damn polaris. hell at least they would talk to me

for that kind of riding i would say the ex, but if u want to keep up i think the shee would stay up closer than the 400 would. but i wouldnt want to buy a used banshee, i dont know about u.
