its hard to find a 88r first of all, even one like that barley modded.
if its in bad conidtion then id say around 3 grand.

if its mint then the guy could probly get 4 grand or more for it...

If you can find a clean 88 "R" for 3 "G"'s. BUY IT!!!!!!!!!! That is a great price. Here in So Cal. you can barely find a decent 86-87 for 3 grand, an 88-89 $4000 to $5500 easy.. I have seen a VERY clean 89 "R" BONE STOCK for $6500.

I have 3 88 "R"'s, for $6500, I will wait for the new 450 R.

Lately, I have seen some 86's and 87's as low as $2500. The may need some cosmestic items but still great deals. I would say about $3400 or so for a clean 88. JMO.

I got my LRD265 for $2300 CANADIAN, all it needed was brake cable, throttle and bearings here and there. It also came with some aftermarket parts.. axle, swinger, etc.. I think I got a fairly good deal. ;)

Now I am getting it ready for MX next season:cool:

I am hoping with the release of Honda's new TRX450R that the prices of the 250R's will come down.

I am still a 2 stroke fan, dont know if i am ready to retire my "R" just yet..

Until they release the new TRX450, the 250 is still the best quad ever made.

And they are coming up on 20 years old already..

I gave my wife an option to by her a quad, ANY quad. She wants her 1987 trx250R (red/white) no matter what, says she wants to be buried with it..

It that a cool chick or what??????
