rear shocks...?

on my 300 if i grab the rear grab bar i can pick the back end up about an inch before the shock stops it then if i drop it it goes back down...does this travel matter??they are stock shocks

i know that on some aftermarket shocks they go up alot before and this helps keep the rear wheels on the ground while going through bumps.

You should always have about an inch of sag or free travel on a stock shock that is perfectly normal If you had 3-4 inches then i would worry but if its at an inch thats just where its supposed to be
