I will be racing the 2004 GNC MX Nationals. I am going to ride 250 Pro-Am and 4 Stroke A. If they have Production classes like I have been hearing I will ride Production Pro-Am and Production A.

QuadR8cer12
12-10-2003, 04:38 PM
did you race pro am or 250 A this year? if you did do you remember racing against Hunter Miller? He placed 4th overall in pro am and 3rd in A. How did you do against him if you remember racing against him. He rode a silver CRF 450. It was Jeremiah Jones old quad. He is super fast.

I'm trying to get some people together to pit with for next years GNC races, anyone want to?

crashinmatt
12-14-2003, 02:08 PM
hey quadchick, we should have a few people together, i believe 4 for sure right now, occasionally a 5th, maybe more groupin up. maybe us ohio people can pit up. MrP they have made the rulings and the rule book is out, and they r havin producton pro-am, and production A, B, and C. i might just run production C. hmmm, decisions. either way im gonna be runnin C. go to www.atvaonline.com/index.asp and check it out. oh and one more thing 250 A, B, and C has been changed to 265 A, B, and C, and the 4 stroke limit has been raised to 450 in all classes.

quadchick3
12-14-2003, 02:20 PM
matt, that would be sweet i think we're gonna try to get an ohioquadracing group together to hit most of them with. but the only peopl from ohio that i know are gonna try to hit them next year are like baisden, kurt, haidet, christa, u, and me and my brother... so far atleast!

Where about are you all located in Ohio??
I'm in the southern tip, and plan to hit most of the nationals this year. Although Cal. if a little to far (and bad timing). But I'm also going to the NQRA race in Florida in Feb. if anyone is interested.

Another project I have been working on it getting Action Sports in Nelsonville, Oh to have an all quad weekend. If I can get enough support, he will put on a race for us. Talk about fun, we could have a 2 day event with flat track and mx and sx.

crashinmatt
12-14-2003, 05:50 PM
well the group of people that i would be with r all from the same basic area all but one of us r like 30 minutes west of cleveland. the other is about 45 minutes to an hour west. we all live within 30 minutes of each other.

QuadR8cer12- No I raced the B class last year. I have raced with Hunter at locals over in Texas at Swan MX. Yea Hunter is fast and so is Cody. Thanks to the Millers my quad has a ride over to the Cali National.

Chase, thanks, good luck to you also. You should be able to take it all the way in Open B. Just keep the rubber side up! You ought to check out the Open B start in the London KY Rem-N-S video. Im sure you know what I am talking about. lol.

Hey i have a question about the GNC's. I know that u can race a 300cc and down 4 stroke and 200cc and down 2 stroke in the youth production class and can be 14, and 15. I have a 330..does that mean i have to be 16 to race???? if so then that really sucks, but if not, thats pretty kool. BTW i'll be14 in january

Sporttrax400ex
12-15-2003, 09:33 PM
ive never raced at the nationals. i will be riding a yfz450 prolly with a few mods. i am a pretty good rider and will be alot better then. what classes you guys running i dont know what im gonna run im gonna go to the tennese track and danielboone maybe 1 or 2 more not 4 sure yet.

gimp419
12-16-2003, 10:56 AM
Todd buddy thanks for the kind words! Yeah I remember that race, I can't have any luck at Boone for some reason. You know the same exact thing happened in the 4-stroke production class too. I ran two main events that Sunday and got flipped on the start of both races! LOL! Yeah it's funny now but at the time I was so ticked off that I went from last to sixth! I ride so much better when I'm mad! Good luck in 04. Yeah Open B might be more fun now that Lawson is gone LOL!!!

One more thing. Was that you that I caused to flip at Red Budd? My motor seized right after the finish line on the first lap and some unlucky sole went flyin off of my rear tire tryin to keep from killin me. I was thinkin that was you but I'm not sure. If so SORRY!

quadchick3
12-16-2003, 05:17 PM
outsider, im not sure about that. But i do know that they changed the age limits in youth production to 13-15 year olds. idk about the CC though

You could race but if you get caught breaking the rules you will get banned from the ATVA for a minimum of a year.

quadchick3
12-22-2003, 09:21 PM
i didnt get to race birch creek this year, but i was there to watch. From all the riders I talked to, EVERYONE hated the track and the weekend. The flaggers that they had were in jr.high, and had no experiance and knew nothing about what they were doing.

and not to mention about how bad the track maintance was. Yah they 'prepped' the track, if you call tilling the first 50 meters with a tracker, prepping a track. I mean common this is supposed to be a national track, can't they do a little bit more?

I know this next part is not the tracks fault, its the atva's. But seeing as how we were all snowed out on sunday this year because of the weather, why would they move the date even earlier in the season next year? Doesnt anyone pay attention to their mistakes??

TCracin440ex
12-22-2003, 10:40 PM
birch creek is a good track...last time i went it wasnt groomed wortha shyt...thats what caused me to have an accident...the take off side of the table top wasnt straight....and when i jumped it threw my quad in the air sideways.....my friend was beside me too...i somewhat landed on his raptor, threw me 15 ft, factured my back, chipped 6 of my teeth, bruised my ribs, my 4 head was swollen and bruised from the accident, and i had a concussion....on some weekends the track is goomed so perfect its just great...but other weekends its not groomed....if you race the track and you have been up there and u ride it every weekend...youll get to like it...i like it because its challenging.....i mean u complaining bout track maintence...but its not posta be easy...u wouldnt get the "feel" of the track unless u raced it....

bottom line is....its my local track, im good at that track, and im there every weekend, so i have good chances of winning more so than what i do going to maccon or lorettas

i would think that most of you would find a lot of the age restrictions outragous. if the kid could pass for 14, he was obviously to big for those mini quads so why would you protest him? i can understand protesting when someone is at an advantage (i.e. motor work in a stk class) but him being too young was probably more of a disadvantage.

Oh well, i guess some people like ruining a kids race day. just reminds me of the people that just ride around and just look for parking violations so they can call the cops on them.

protests for illegal motor work, and other mods is understandable, but did it really hurt you that the kid was a mear 2 years too young? :huh

shes a girl that rides a 250ex come on give her a little bit of slack what would you do if there was a 25 year old in the 30+ class that kicked your @$$ cause hes riden his whole life...you would protest him.

ScooterX
12-23-2003, 11:08 AM
most riders are at their best in their late teens to mid 20's... not when they are 12. also, i'm talkin about the fact that protesting a 12 y/o that is too big for mini's is basically showin support for the age limits that i hear so many people complain about. protesting a 25 y/o in a 30+ class is different than protesting a 12 y/o in a 14-16 class when the 12 y/o's only other options are riding a quad that is too small for him or getting a $15,000+ mini that fits him. not everyone that races is rich.

but, rules are rules... and some things are just not fair. the alessi's get protested an estimated 40 times a year and they have never had an illegal bike. people just do it to hastle them cause they win so much... it may not be fair but sh*t happens.

just out of curiosity though... was that 12 y/o too fast for the class he got protested in?

p.s. sorry if my typing isnt great. i broke my wrist a couple days ago and im tryin to type as fast and as good as i can with one hand.

*** i am 16 and i race a 400ex, not a 250 anymore kurt common get with the program :)

and Scooter, this is how i think of it. I know some of the age restrictions are insane but i mean you have to draw the line somewhere you know? And as for why I protested him, there is no tracks around me that had the 14-15 year class so thats why i raced in nationals, its the only place i knew that had it. Hell since I had to wait around untill i could race legally (atva rules n all) i figure everyone should be able to suck it up and do the same. But again this is entirely my opinion on it.

Come on up!! It is just practice so I'm sure as long as you are riding something, it won't matter if your male, female, fast, slow, whatever. Just looking to meet some people and have a good time.

katelynn u can go to www.pitracer.com, and look everything u need to know basically, but ill try to answer ur questions:

1. 10am to 6pm all bikes and all quads
2. most likely
3. its basically along the side of the track indoors for quads and bikes only. so its not really out in the weather. im sure if they get a lot of people then maybe it might spill outdoors for the pits.
4. they r located on Rt. 7, 3.5 miles north of Andover Square, Andover, Ohio 44003.
5. not sure.
6. not sure about a specific website, but here is a link to some pics: http://www.pitracer.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16787
