Hey, my friend has a set of PEP 250r shocks that he bought used, but the guy he bought them from told him it was for a raptor (which he has). Now I think he is gonna get some new ones, and I was wanting to make sure that 250r shocks would fit my 400ex. I might buy them from him, but I haven't talked to him yet. would I have any problems running aftermarket shocks up front and stock in the rear? I can't afford to get a rear shock anyway? Thanks for any input!

Anybody know anything about 250r shocks and if they will fit my 400? this is frustrating!

I believe that 250r front shocks are a different size than 400ex shocks. However you might still be able to use them.

The 400ex rear shock is a very good shock. It is compression and rebound adjustable. You can get the stock rear shock redone with stiffer spring(s) and have them revalved for alot less than the price of an aftermarket rear, and it will preform just as good.

The upgrade in front shocks might make your back shock feel "sluggish."

Hoped I helped a little bit.

the 250r front shocks will bolt right onto the 400ex, the rear shocks wont, since its ZPS the front is going to sit a lot lower, so i suggest u have the rear rebuilt with the ZPS shock asap
