300ex jetting???

i got a 96 300ex, with K&N and nothing else.......stock bike
it has always ran reliable but i think i might be able to jet it and get more power...........my freind had a 400ex with the same K&N and jetted it and now has more power......any help would be great..........thanks

You could probably go up one size on the main jet. It should help a little.

What size you got in there now??? I would say go up 1 too just be careful not to get it leaned out.

by just adding a K&N there is a good chance you won't notice more power. i think your friend with the K&N is feeding you a line. my bike with the stock filter was just as quick as my friends with a K&N. jetting will make a difference, but when you only add a filter, you won't notice much if any. being off by one jet size is not all that much. however, it may be noticable if you have two identical bikes side by side.
