i have done some modifications to her and will post more pics when i get them. so far i am impressed with the overall quality and love the feel of the 4 stroke power and the sound when the throttle is opened up. when you do open her up --- hold on. i am working on a few bugs like a melted fuse box that i fixed and removed alot of the unneeded wiring. fuel injection has great throttle response. so far i don't like the way the plastic is held on cause it is a pain to get off and if i want to get to the spark plug i have to remove the middle plastic (it has a front , middle, and back section) and the gas tank. what is great is that i don't have to spend any money on nerfs, kill switches, axles, shocks, a arms, and all the other race ready stuff. i do however want to get a set of 4/1 offset rims for the front cause it is a little wide. if you know anyone interested in the tires and rims on it now let me know. they are like new. still have the nubs on them. i put different rear tires (20-10-8 holeshots)and it makes the gear ratios much more useful because 1st gear is a little high. i really think i will be competitive on this bike cause i have rode my cousins legacy atv sponsored national caliber suzuki z-400 bored over to 450 with alot of nice goodies from legacy atv like long travel front end and axis shocks and this has almost as much low balls as the z and i think it has much more high end. the brakes are the best on any quad i have ever rode. even when really riding hard they work awesome cause they don't get hot at all. hope you liked the review. gas gas is supposed to fix all the bugs that i have already fixed and add a few things like a radiator shield which i need. i will post more pics when i get them.

looking forward to racing in 2004.

GasGas quads are sweet. If I had the cash I'd buy myself an 04.

I like it. Hasn't been around long enough to be considered better than a 250R. How come you didn't get the 2 stroke?

sweet quad! i wish i had the money to go out and buy a nice quad, but unfortunately i'm stuck with a lousy piped 400ex and piped banshee:blah:

is it just me, or does the headpipe look a little weird? like it's taped up....

It probably is tape. It keeps the heat in the pipe and thus produce a better exhaust flow. that tape is availabe but dont know where. they where talking about it on thumpertalk.com some time ago in the crf450 forum.

looks very nice but didn't you have to narrow it because of the 51 inch width?

i have always liked the 4 strokes better and i grew up on them.. i know the 2 stroke 300 is really nice but i wanted to have the 4 stroke just cause it is a personal preference and it seems that the whole quad scene is moving in that direction. the power difference is hardly anything and the 4 strokes are getting better and better technology every year.

a set of 4/1 offset rims will take care of that. if anybody has a good deal on some or would like to trade for the ones on it now let me know.
