Ok i have a question.....I bought my computer a few months ago and have just realized that it doesn't play dvd's ( Its a media center PC too Go Figure ? ) Well anyway on my drive it says CD-ROM what would i have to do to get it to play dvd's would i have to buy a drive that plays them or can i download somthing or buy some kind of download so that it can read them ???

your cd drive has to be able to play dvd's, normally they say on the CD tray: DVD Rom. or you just need a program to use to be able to play them. sounds like you dont have a DVD Rom cd drive.

Yea, you need to buy a DVD-ROM drive. Your CD-ROM drive doen't have the correct laser to play DVDs.

anyone that could explain why my cd drives are dissappearing for hours at a time? i will go to acess them and they are gone. The only way i have found to get them back is manually unplug from the mother board, then reboot and plug back in... its really getting old, do i have a virus? thanks
