I havent heard anything about the subject at all, I do think that if KTM where to make a Quad it would be awsome!
But the only problem i see with that is they spend so much time evey year getting there bikes better and better, If u look around they are really doing great! But I (rember this is just what i think) i dont think that they will make a quad for quit some years. BUt hey if im wrong id still love to ride one and if they do i bet they use the 450EXC motor and not the 520 thats just too many cc's!

this is freakin wierd!!!! one of my buds i ran into at the gas station just got done tellin me 2 weeks ago that i should stick his 520 motor in my ex frame

there were a couple of KTM quads in the ga. gncc this year, they were motorcycle engines in aftermarket frames but they did look good.

A guy who races NEATVMX has a KTM 520 motor in a lsr or wlash chassis.....it screams like a BIATCH!!!!!

Guy i have seen in the NEATV with a ktm is "marco". His frame is a 250r LSR that he modified to kit the ktm. He is a professional welder. Made his own a-arm and stuff. I rode with him one day at uxbridge when it was all mud.

yea the ktm @neatvmx is sick...i wish i had some pics

everytime we pass it our jaws just drop :cool:

Walsh is building a KTM520 powered quad for himself to race this coming season. He said its the fastest quad out there. I guess he built about 6 of em so far.

he couldnt of been too fast if you were passing him!:D

the W-Tec Eraser comes brand new with an optional KTM520 motor.

lol i meant pass him in the pits...

according to the magazines the Eraser steers for shiot...I wouldnt want to ride a nasty quad that I couldnt turn easily :eek:

I am actually building 3 of these bikes now. I have one about 60% done. It uses a custom JB Racing chassis, pro-trax frontend, and CR 500 link.
I just sent a 400ex frame to be modified which will have all Houser/Axis components.
The last motor I'm kinda waiting on these 2 to be finished and try to find another chassis donar, thinking about a Z400 or something like that.
I know Lonestar built a few frames for the 520 motor (East Coast built one) and they appear to be nice bikes.
I seen the one modified from the 250r chassis, he done a super clean job on that bike. He said it rips.

These bikes are going to be for sale. I have tried building a couple of bikes for people, but most have big wishes and little pockets.
Seriously, it is hard to make someone understand the time and money it takes to build a bike from the ground up. Another think I'm running into is the new production rules, seems everyone is jumping on the bandwagon about having a production bike.
I have ridden some new yamaha's and modified a couple already, but they still will not be a match for the 520.
Another nice feature will be the magic red button by the clutch perch. Kinda nice to not have to kick start it to life.
I can send a picture of the JB bike going together now. It's at the shop, so I'll have to wait till tomorrow.
