NICE buck ,what was the spread on that?

It had a 23 3/4" spread. A guy that hunted with us scores racks for a local club, and he guestimated the buck at around 250 lbs, and the rack at about 190. It was hanging by the time he got a look at it, so he couldn't give it a true wet score.

I shot a buck the day before in the same spot, and the buck pictured came straight at me, having already tagged a buck, I didn't shoot at it, and it trotted about 150 yards in front of the guy in the pic. He shot it twice, and it dropped.

There was a 8pointer where i hunt killed with a 26 in spread and 5 1/2 in tines at the base (5 1/2 inces around) they were about the same size as a beer can at the base they were huge it field dressed at 247 It was HUGE! but the deer was predicted to be about 8 years old, you can tell by the number of wrinkes behind the ears and by the teeth

Yes, Al was one happy mofo. When the buck pictured was shot, we had eleven hunters doing a drive. Almost every one of them asked me what the hell I was thinking by not shooting at it. I had shot my first buck the day before, and I've been known to bend the laws, but not flat out knowingly break them, especially when poaching is the crime. Believe me, It was killing me not to let some lead fly, but it was headed in the direction of four more competent gunners, and I had the utmost confidence knowing someone would bag it.

The guy that shot its son has the buck on video many times.
