how put on 300ex exhuast gasket

i keep on putting the ring on it falls off plus last night my exhuast was glowing

I put a little anti seize lube(napa) on the bolts and a little on the gasket to make it stick in place while I bolt the exhaust on. The anti seize will make it so the bolts come loose easier next time. You could even use a little petroleum jelly to hold the gasket in place but I still recommend the anti sieze for the bolts.

Also you will be lean at idle and low throttle positions in cold weather. You may have been lean because the exhaust gasket wasn't seated properly. Don't over tighten the head bolts. Remember aluminum is soft.

thanks alot but the thing is the gasket that i have is like a metal ring is that what u have btw when ur riding at night does ur exhaust glow? i have a sparks and mine does

are you talking about the exhaust gasket that goes into the head??

for glowing headers:
if they glow at idle, turn the fuel skrew out some
if they glow at 1/8 to 3/4 throttle, move the clip on your needle to the 4th positon
if they glow at full throttle, put a larger mainjet in
