Found a deal on a 400EX for the boy!!!!

HAHA well I went to my bike shop sponsor yesterday & was looking at thier used quads, they have 3 400Ex's sitting up there, so I ask what they are asking for them & they say they are repos & we can put an offer on them, so I'm like well how much of an offer??? The guy tells me $1800-$2000:eek2: :eek2: :eek2: there are 2 repos' & they are a 01' & 00' a little beat up(no broken plastic but def used) not sure how they run(they didn't have the keys) but they looked half way decent from what I seen. Soooo now we just have to decide what we are going to sell if we want to get one of these, we want to put omy son on this for next season along w/ his blaster too. We'll have to see I'll let ya know if we get one. BTW they said if the bank excepts our offer then they will make sure it's in running order:) I think it sounds like an awesome deal what do you think???

It's a good deal if they are in good shape. Chances are though if they were repoed, they were owned by an irresponsible owner, which means they weren't maintained. I would check it over thoroughly and make sure it runs before you buy it. If they are in decent running shape and just need the usual maintenance, then go for it!

For 1,800 even if it is blown up your could a good 416 kit for not too much. Just make sure the frame isnt messed up, and when you get it gusset the frame. You dont know what it has been through.

If they run halfway decent then it sounds like great deal. Like what hondafox440 said about irresponsible owners.......;)

Yeah I thought it was a good deal since I paid $1800 for my 300EX!! We would def check it out & YES on the frame I was thinking the same thing about an irresponsible owners (it looks like they were irresponsible too) but for that price we could do some stuff w/ it. Chef yeah he would have to go in that class, he would LOVE that!!! We'll have to see we're thinking about putting the LT80 up for sale but we need to get the starter fixed first, unfortunetly it doesn't have a back up pull start :( so it hasn't ran in a year I bet, but she runs good & strong!!
