.243 rifle

any of you guys have one of these, how hard do they kick compared to a 20 gauge with a slug. im thinkin about getting one but im not sure.

very good starter rifle... very accurate... no kick at all... u won't even know its goin off when u shoot a deer...


they do blow up deer thou sometimes bc the bullets don't weigh much and they mushroom easy... i know aton of people with .243s... very good gun;)



to be honest a .243 was the 2nd gun i ever had... i used it on ground hogs when i was 8 so i think u can take the kick;)

Very nice rifle. i started out with one too. It wasnt big enough for mule deer and elk though. good rifle, no kick either.;)

I have one only use it for groundhogs though. Can't use rifles to hunt deer in ohio.
