After like 5 months of saving money I finally bought new Works tripple rates w/ rezzies. They just got here today (WOOOHOO!!! :D:D:D ). Anyway, I was just wondering how often you guys sent back your shocks for service. My last ones failed mostly because I neglected to do this. Anyone who has works shocks how often do you get them serviced? and how much does it cost?

If your a hardcore racer or rider and abuse your quad/shocks,,it's requested you have them serviced once a year,,I'm thinkin I'll have mine done every 2 years.

YOu need to get your rear shock rebuilt now,,,it gets even better.

Did you do the works heart transplant in the rear shock? I'm thinking of doing that.

Nope I sent it to Marcums and had it rebuilt,,I've cased doubles on purpose to see if it holds up,,,not even close to bottoming out,,,I'm more impressed with the rebuild of the single rear over the 2 fronts..:huh It cost me $250 but that was a complete rebuild,,spring, gold series valves, maxima oil,,etc..well worth it,,if you wiegh more than 165 pounds your over your rear shocks limits,,I know I wuz..

It all depends on how hard you are on the shocks, I get mine done once a year.

For most riders and in most cases once a year is good. But if your a serious rider running Axis or PEP zps, you proably should have them rebuilt in the middle of the season. But ofcourse thats only if your really hardcore and ride ALOT.
