I have been debating on what length of swing arm I should go with? As everyone knows that the 400ex is a wheelie machine, but when you a 6’2’’ 230lbs it really does not take much to wheelie. I was thinking of going with +2, but not sure. I do a lot of hill climbing, sand, and trail riding. As of right know I am building my suspension before I modify my motor to 426.
Does anyone have a recommendation on swing arm lenght ?

I would go with the 1 1/4 that is what most manufactures are making for the 400ex some manufactures will make you what ever length you want.

I think that is the length the other 2 replies were supposed to be, but I could be wrong.

I just bought a RPM +1 1/4.... Pricy but worth the money. RPM backs it with a 3 year warranty. No one else does that. Not to mention, they are GREAT people to deal with too!!!

I cannot comment on any problems regarding the bolt but will say from my personal experiences as well as the experience of many others that RPM "raises the bar" when it comes to customer service and appreciation. :D

To do business with RPM is a GOOD experience! :)
