does anyone know or actually have experience putting a 4 stroke motor (like a 400ex) into a 250r frame. I dont know if it makes a difference the the frame is an Arens and the motor is from an 89R. Thanks for any info!

I know many people have put a 3-wheeler 350X motor into the 250r frame (this was before the 400EX came out).

I've also heard of people putting the 250x motor into the 250r frame to allow them to race the 250r suspension (which is much better than the 250x suspension) in a 200cc class.

I don't know how much truth there is to it, but I was told that a 400ex motor is to tall to fit in the 250r frame.

This may be true. I've never tried, but I DO know that the 400EX motor is taller. It may require frame and/or gas tank modifications to get it to fit.
