whell leave it to depford honda to fix my quad horribly. Here are the symptoms: its a 300ex it dosent start anymore. when it did start it fouled plugs every 5 minutes. there is gas that leaks into the airbox. my filter is soaked with gas. it backfires constantly when i try to start it and sometimes flames shoot out of the carburator. O yea once the airbox lid blew into the air. any suggestions

Get a service manual and tear your whole carburator down and check the specs on everything. Float setting, the size of the jets, etc.

What was the quad in the shop for originally? What were they supposed to fix?

LIke Aceman said, it sounds like somthing in the carb.

I'm not so good at troubleshooting but i'm wondering if the shop messed with the timing, would that cause these symptoms?

it was in the shop for a complete top end rebuild from the crankshaft up

The float is either stuck or the needle and seat is shot. no big deal to fix.

I dont know much about engines but that sounds like a timing problem.

take your quad back to the shop and make them fix it for free, even if the float is just stuck. that's BS, i'd be heated bro
