I am going to weld my own reinforcing rings onto my new douglas .190 eight inch rims. I see that alot of people that do this will only reinforce the inside of the rims , and not both sides. I have reinforced both sides in the past but it's a pain when all the mud and everything will get packed inside of the rims. Will a ring on just the inside of both rims be strong enough?

If your gonna do it, do it right. Put rings on both the inner and outer part of the rims. Yeah the mud in there sucks but it's better than big dents or flat spots in your rim..
