This is a F-350 FORD

He has a twin turbo set up and a 16 valve dodge cummins motor swap with an alison transmission. He also has a stock bottom end with a ported head and running around 92lbs of boost. The truck weighs around 7500 lbs and runs 36" tall mud tires.

:eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :blah: :eek2: :eek2:

the vid is 1:12, depending on your bandwith might not want to try it

But you noticed that he had to put a good ol' cumming in there to make it shake.
I guess that guy can say "ford makes it cummings shakes it"

One of wyndzers buddies from NC has a truck (can't remember what kind) but they say he's got about 100+G's in it and it'll smoke just about anything that it lines up against at the drag strip.:eek2: I know all his quads have NOS on em too....:eek2: :eek2:

They do run good, that is until they fall apart.:blah: I've heard from a few reliable people locally that their having quite a few problems with the new 6.0. Guess I'll keep the 7.3 for another year.

would ya rather be cumming or stroking?
ya ever hear that one.
all i know is that the parts for the ford is expensive, try 1 grand per fuel injector, because the injectors run at like 32000 psi

Out_Sider
12-03-2003, 07:21 PM
i dont really see why they used a cummins over a 6.0 powerstroke? the 6.0 has the most horsepower and torque of any diesel right now...and mated to the Torque shift 5 speed transmission...its the best setup i've seen.

It sounds like its cummin, but are u sure? I heard of a powerstroke twin turbo'ed runnin 11's workin into the 10's with the help of a little n2o and propane, either way I WANT

I paid $400 per injector to have them replaced (not to do the work myself.)

That truck hauls. I read somewhere that if you wanted to, you could make the Duramax truck beat a Corvette. That's crazy.

LMFAO.... you guys that are asking why he didnt use a 6.0L powerstroke dont know much about "bombing" a diesel motor....

12-03-2003, 09:05 PM
Well the one i was talkin 'bout was a 7.3l :p

tclapp
12-03-2003, 09:55 PM
the reason they used the cummins is because it is so much easier to do work to the 12valve by turnign pump up injectors and etc, where as the 6.0 is highly computer orianted and makes it tuff on the motor by mesing with that,

12-03-2003, 09:56 PM
CHIT, hit the send button and didnt want to, but ne way they have been having a lot of problems withe the tranny on the new 6.0's as well for those that were wondering about the problems they were having

Wow, that was nice. I'm a ford guy, but here's a good dodge site for you guys to check out on diesel's.

You shouldn't doubt the "Big Boys"

80 shot propane injection(actually improves motors usability and gas milage!) = $750
200 shot nitrous injection (yes both can be run together)= $900
? HP Rapid flow induction = $300
20 HP 5" highflow exhaust = $750
50/75/100 (selectable) HP ECU upgrade = $450

OVER 400 ADDITIONAL HP for just over 3000 bucks!!!!!

so take a new F250/F350....base Hp rating is 325. So, with 3 large, now have a 725 HP MONSTER. I don't know the exact #'s, but i assure you the torque is well over 1000 ft/lbs.

All of that without even touching the turbo itself......

thr problems with the 6.0 and the tranny were in the early models and has been resolved with new software and a new intake i beleive other than the first ones I've heard only good, their powerhouses!!

yeah but your not ALWAYS going to have that 280 hp on you'll have it yes but your not gonig to be running 750 horsepower ALL the time

tclapp
12-04-2003, 05:59 PM
that and your tranny and rear end are not goin to hold up ot that much HP neither is your clutch you are goin to have to replace all of those too so you can figure another 3 grand for heavy duty to hold up to that much torque

Texan32
12-04-2003, 06:44 PM
well, the only thing that you wouldn't run all the time is the nos. The propane is run al the time. so that still leaves you with ovr 500 hp!

I am strictly talking #'s here. I know there are more things to consider when doing such a thing......

About the tranny...yes i realize that 700+ hp will gernade a stock auto or stock clutch plates.

The rear end....if you are running an open diff., you really won't have much trouble. No matter what truck tire you try to run, its not going to get enough traction to rip anything out. But, if you happen to have a LSD, you will most likely fry the friction plates within a few or 10 thousand miles.

...then again...the guys that are pumping out these hp #'s aren't really doing to to take to the drag strip. They are doing it becuse...a) they are running 8" lift with 39's
b) they do a boat-load of heavy towing and are tired of palying "drag *****" while in traffic.
