Cleaning cylinder base gasket??

Do you use 3-m scotchbrite pads after scraping old gasket or just scrape it with razor alone??..thanks

try using a brush and some gas to help loosen up the little pieces and then get them with the razor...the scrubbie might scratch it up to easily

use a razor or gasket scraper to get off all you possibly can and you can use a scotch brite pad i always use a scotch brite pad on a die grinder but you have have to be careful since it is aluminum if you go at it like your killing snakes you can actually grind away the aluminum and make it an unevan surface so you just want to apply light pressure and don't stay in just one area for too long :o
