i am fixing to start racing when the next seaon comes around and i would like to know what size wheels are the best and should i go with maxxis or holeshot. i heard maxxis holds up alot longs and min right now are... any help or comments

i guess mx. what does xc stand for again? cross country?

XC stands for cross country. It makes a big difference on your tire choice depending on what kind of racing your doing. Dont get holeshot XCT's and go out on the mx track, and dont get holeshot MXR's and go out to an XC race. You have to decide on exactly what your going to do and prepare accordingly.

Although if ur not real serious into mx like u still like trail riding Razrs work great for everything. 20 inch rear and 22 inch fronts

well i want the wheels for looks too, and if i get some holeshots, if i do, what tire would you recommend?

I run mx and have "18 turf tamers in the rear and 20" mx holshots up front. These tires are all on ITP .190 t-9's. Yeah, beadlocks would be nice, but I can't afford them and I haven't had any problems yet!:D
