I went from bone stock to K&N with outerwears & no lid, 155 main, 42 pilot, moved the needle clip down one notch. I developed a little bog coming off the line in second. I changed the pilot back to stock & the bog got worse. Should I go back to the stock main & leave the needle clip alone?. I also noticed that it started a little easier with the 42 pilot. Can I go with the 42 pilot, stock main, neddle clip down one notch, & still not be too rich?.

i think your a little big on the main. you might want to pick up a 150 and 152 main. jetting will change as temp changes. your clip in the 4th position in the winter months will probally be fine. in the summer, you will probally have to move it back to the 3rd position. 42 pilot is fine. you will probally only have to be 2 turns out or so on the fuel skrew on the bottom of the carb.
