I am having my local shop bore out my cyclinder for a 416 kit, so I had them put in new valve seals. The shop called me today and said that both my exhaust valves had been pulled and they needed to resurface them. What does that mean? Plus they said the manifold was about to crank and gave me a price on that for $40. I hope that is good. Please help.... Thanks a lot

never heard that b4? The seat may have went south from the valves floating and bouncing on the seat.

I think they just removed the valves from the head and inspected them and they are worn, don't grind them, replace them instead.

I've never heard of a pulled valve. Not sure what they are talking about. Don't grind them though. They are coated with a hard coating that will be ground off if they grind them. They can cut the seats but not the valves.
