i have had my quad for about 6 months now. Should i have my valves adjusted ?

iv'e ahd mine for a year w/ 3,200 miles...I should probably have mine adjusted but I hear no ticking so I dont think its necessary. If you know how to do it yourself or no someone that does definately do it but dont try to go to your dealership to have it done b/c it will cost like $300 & it's very easy to do if you know what you are doing. ;)

It isn't a bad idea to have them adjusted. You can't just go by if htey are ticky or not though. If you don't want to pay a dealer to do it then just get a manual and do it yourself. I don't know of any dealer that will charge $300 just to adjust valves. They will probably charge you 1-1.5 hours to do it.

one local dealer charges $40 for just the valve adjustment here. the other dealer is a little higher though.

Yeah you should def do it you will see a difference!! I would just buy a manual & do it, if I can do it ANYONE can!!! :):)

You need a feeler gauge to do it yourself. You can make do with a set of sockets for the rest of the work, you dont really need the special tightening tool.
