i am really considering the ims 440 kit becuase its only 310 dollars. but i want to make sure that with what the kit comes with, will that all that needs to be done. i also but air scoops i know that needs to be done but should i put anything else on the compensate for the new kit?
the kit includes...
Kit includes all necessary parts needed to increase your engines displacement to 440. Kit includes 88.5mm piston kit (89mm available for overbores), big bore sleeve, along with base and head gasket.
any info would help thanks.

also which ratio is the best 10.3 or 11.1? what are the pros and cons of each? i usually ride small pits and trails and i want the most reliablity...

by ratio i think you mean compression? I would go with the 10.3 so you can still run pump gas. I have the highest compression IMS offers and I have no relibility problems, starts everytime, but I do have to run race gas, expensive!

just so you know you won't gain very much power from the 440 kit alone.

I would get the Ross 440 kit (ture 440) not 434cc like the IMS. for $245 including gaskets. and I would also get a cam to compliment the piston kit :)

your gains will be nice. yes, get it all from C&D. all you need is piston kit, sleeve, cam, and gaskets. however, boring will be required for the piston to fit the sleeve. how will you compete with the new 450?? who knows, its not out yet. i am more worried about that yfz. i have a feeling the 450r won't touch the yfz, even though a honda rider like myself doens't want to hear that. :(
