I was just wondering if there was a world record for the longest ATV jump, or the longest wheelie?

I would love to put on some street tires, and go on a major highway and try for the worlds longest atv wheelie, that would be hot

theres a record for longest wheelie on a bicycle, it was like 14 hours if my memory serves me correctly

There was a guy that could wheely his dirtbike forever. I think he wheelied from like Pheonix to LA or something. I forget his name though, and he recently passed away in a sky diving accident.

yeah mat coulter set the world record awhile back at like 140 something feet but hes actually jumped over 200 feet, it just wasnt official though.

Umm i think the longest wheelie on a quad is pointless cuz it would only depend on the amt of distance you have really. I mean you can just pop it up and ride it for as long as you want.

Did yall see Kangaroo's site? All that jumping and NO landing ramp... for the most part! How did he manage that? I think the H-Bomb guys have him whooped though. They could show him up... he stated that he has trouble "stabalizing the quad in the air" . Well first off he's jumping a Banshee over 200Ft! Crazy.. a Banshee is meant to point and shoot... ON THE GROUND. They do not fly well... trust me i know. Secondly, there is a bit of control w/ the throttle and break... you'd think he'd move to 4 stroke or figure out the whole break/gas thing. Well... i couldn't do that so i'm shuttin up.

i think the longest wheelie was like 2.8 miles but i will have to check. the quad that they guy did it on was on ebay about a year ago.

hia name was Ben Morgan of fort worth Texas, he was 28 years old. it took him 31 minutes to go 2.8 miles and it took place in Vero Beach, Florida at a freestyle MX and BMX show.

the official world record jump on a quad is 149 feet, by Jamie Barkla.

Really? I thought Kangaroo dude pulled 210ft... w/ a rough landing... and a successful 180ft. The H-Bomb guys jump really close to that? What's his name pulled off 310 ft 4in on a KM250... it was crazy lookin... he was in the air for bout 4 seconds!

Hahaha thats funny right there.

I guarntee that you still wouldn't, you would check out the jump and landing realize that it's a 200ft gap and puss out. They probably have it figured out how fast to go and what to do but it still takes balls the size of melons to do it.

That would be a good wheelie thogh. Riding a long wheelie is no problem in higher gears, but if you do the math this guy is averaging less than 6 mph. Now going 2.8 miles at less than 6 mph complicates things.

ryan capes was the one that jumped 310 4 in. i watched his special on fuel tv it was a cr 250 though

Jamie Barkle and Matt Coulter are both Aussies and i've ridden with both of em. Jamie Barkla kicks arse and is ultra smooth but Matt Coulter is just a loose unit, if you ride with him its not certain that you will survive (through no fault of your own). They are both Queenslanders and so am I. In the extras of one of the Carpe Diem DVD's they do 160ft jump but its unofficial.

You can learn heaps ridin with guys like them :D ;)

Yep. His name was Doug Domokos. He died in an ultralight aircraft crash in 2000.

In 1984 he set the world record for riding a motorcycle wheelie 145 miles. It was broken in 1992 by a trials bike rider who went 206 miles. It's said he had plans to re-take the record and go 300 miles but died before he had the chance.

This is the rap Jamie Barkla used to make the new world record. It obviously wasnt in that spot but thats it. Its set up so you can go upt 165 ft i think, i might be wrong.

Its dug into the side of a hill so you dont have to jump big if you just want to go over it. Ive hit it myself but could only get to the top of the dirt slope you can see on my 400EX, the run up is a bit sketchy now.
