I notice in most pictures people get aftermarket A-arm and body skid plates but not swing arm skids. Stock comes only with swing arm skids. Do the stock skids hold up?

My stock is beat up badly. I need to get a new swing arm skid for a 250ex, any reccomendations?

I would go with PRM products.

Its a choice between Aluminum OR stainless stell.

If you are occasionally hitting rocks, aluminum would be fine, BUT if you constantly find yourself HAMMERING! rocks(Like I do) The get a Protec stainless steel, theyre the best, will last FOREVER

I have full prm skids on my 300ex. I would recommend them to anyone. On my 400ex i am going to get protec skids though. I am doing this for the increased ground clearence. I think the prm and protec have the same amount of protection but the protect give you more clearence. I would recommend either.

I know where there's a mangled pro-tect laying on a workbench. I'm not impressed with them. A friend makes stainless steel swingarm skids for 400s, sells them for $125.
