Hey everybody. I'm trying to decide whether or not to ditch the Warrior. We went riding today and I cased so many jumps it's not even funny. Sooo, I want something very reliable like the Warrior, with more power, more suspension, and better handling without costing TOO much more. So many people say the 400ex sux but I just wanted some opinions from people who actually own them. I like reverse, but it would be worth the sacrifice if it performed better than the Warrior in all the other areas. How are the transmissions on the 400's? Do the engines overheat like my Warrior does? Thanks a lot everybody.

I think a 400ex is exactly what you are looking for! lately they have become very affordable & you can't beat them as far as dependability...they are" VERY" good quads for the money..as far as the tran's I haven't heard of any prob's. keep up on the oil changes & the motor should last you a long time. & no they don't over heat if your going to sit in one place for awhile shut if off...:D
PS: I had a warrior & there is a big difference between the two the "EX" is alot better all around!!!!

I went from a Warrior to a 400ex. Big difference. It's like riding a fat girl and then riding her hot 125lb friend. :p You can get them pretty cheap lately too.

the 400ex doesnt suck, its not a complelte superbike like a trx450 or a ysf450. It is a great trail bike adn a great sport bike, for everyguy like you that wants a good performor but doesnt race around with 25000 dollar pro bikes. It is still a good bike for racing, i will bet 99% of us wont ever be a big pro class continder, so the 400ex or a R would be a great choice.

Awesome quad
I have almost had mine for two years and have had no problems with this quad at all that weren't my own fault.
If given the chance to do it all over again I'd probably still buy the 400ex.
