These are works triple rate racer series shocks. piggy back reservoirs preload adjustable, no comp adj. valved for a 175 pound rider on standard a-arms..

Ive been using these for a 128 pound rider for like 3 rides and they work great, my brother weighs 165 and they worked great for him also. Not sure when they were rebuilt, but they still feel good. Looking to get $325 o.b.o, I have a buyer interested in them for less $, but I really dont want to let them go that cheap. You can have Derisi do a pro millenium revalve on these and be better than new.

Some people say that they will work on a 250r and other quads, but to be safe these are for a 400ex only.

These shocks are the same as the Works remote reservoir shocks, but are just mounted on the shock, I like the way it saves space and gives me more room for a steering stabilizer and other stuff...

you said preload adjustable, no comp adjust. I'm new to the aftermarket shock world so I'm not sure what that means. send me a pic to dmoore@swales.com I'm pretty sure I need a spare set for xmas!:p

I dont have the memory card for my camera right now, but here is a pick that looks just like them but they are triple rate instead of dual rate in the pic. The springs have some chips off of them and are a little faded, but thats what shockwears are for, I have some red ones that I can throw in, they cost $40 new.

To answer your question it makes you can adjust the preload, which basically you run the preload almost all the wat for MX tracks and whatever and it will ride lower. Basically with the preload all the way out it will sit about an inch lower than stock and with it in, you are about at stock height and the spring isnt compressed much at ride height, where with the preload out it sits an inch lower but also will rise and fall an inch more when jumping, sorta compresesses the spring at ride height.

It doesnt matter whether you ride trails or MX, shocks make a huge difference, after I put these on I couldn't go back to stock. My brother has PEP and they are better for MX, but the Works seem good from what little riding Ive done around my house and once on the track. They are a couple years old but the person that had them before didnt ride them alot, the springs are chipped from not running shockwears, but Im selling these with shockwears so the chips on the paint get covered. It seems like you gain about an inch of travel with these, but maybe it is just that much smoother.

Because I hate them :o .

No actually I saw a good deal on some PEP LT shocks and couldnt resist, it is christmas time, but now I need the money to get some LT a-arms. You can vouch for the Works though since you have them, they are damn good shocks, I couldnt believe how much improvement they were over stock.
