HAS ANYONE EVER PUT HAND GUARDS ON A 400EX. I RIDE IN THE WOODS A LOT AND CATCH A TREE EVERY NOW AND THEN. AND WOULD LOVE TO PUT A SET ON BUT ALL THEY SHOW IN THE BOOK ARE ONLY FOR BIKES

ummm....handlebars are handlebars if they are on a bike or quad, most are same size..almost all of the guards will work I think ;)

I have a pair of Acerbis Flag guards that are 'for bikes only'. Had to trim a little to fit around the master cylinder.

There diffrent. I bought a set of cycra handguards for a bike and the mounts needed to be longer. Most bikes don't have starter switches and thumb thorotles (sp). Bikes usually just have the clutch lever, master cylinder and the little bit of the end of a twist throttle. So when you add the thumb and starter switch they just arent long enough.

Get some Acerbis Rally 2's they work great and look killer. Also UFO makes some really good hand guards for quads and they not only work well they look good too!

Cycra's atv handguards are sweet and have plenty of room for all your levers and such:D

Yes the Cycra are a little pricey. But after you get them on they are worth the xtra money. The pro-bend in the bar is what a quad rider needs so they can hang off the quad on the turns without it pinching your wrist. You can check with C&D racing or Jeff at the Quadshop.

Ive sold a TON of Powermadd hand guards to guys with quads . The mounts are universal between quads and dirtbikes. I know a few guys that have wrecked their bikes and the handguards didnt crack or anything .

I went with the powermadd hand guards, seeing as how that is the only thing my dealer had in stock. I am pretty sure they were universal and would fit a bike or a quad.
