View Full Version : MY CR-80 Need help-what year is it.

This is my Cr80 I bought it for 30 bux. Just wanted to know if anyone could tell me the approximate year of the bike. Its got disc brakes up front, drum in the back. And mono shock.

I would guess 85 or 86

Can almost guarantee its an 86 or 87.

its tough..my gut instinct is telling me its a 2001 but i have second thoughts it might be an 02?:p

That bike is of the 1987 vintage. I'll give you $60 for it if you live anywhere close to me!

lol. Vintage? and no its not for sale right now. Maybe in the future. Gonna fix it up.

well, I have another question. Is this a cr80 Expert model perhaps? Someone on another forum said they had an 87 and it had drum front brakes.

There was no such thing as a CR80 Expert in 1987. They didn't come out with those until the late 1990's. I believe the 1986 stilll had drum brakes. The full size bikes (125, 250, 500) all went to rear disc brakes in 1987, while the CR80 got a front disc but stayed drum in the rear.
