Just found someone today to buy my 2001 400ex...awesome 4 wheeler...no need to get rid of it...but why the heck not. I just want to know if I'm asking a fair price for it: 2001, TAG tapered bars and billet riser, motion pro twist, Power kit/HMF slip-on, sparks advance key, douglas 190's with 21x7x10 holeshots front/20x11x10 XCR rears...all relatively new, newer axle bearings, synthetic oil since break-in...gonna add new chain/sprockets and some other basic fixits-it's not in perfect condition...because i ride it...but it's been well maintained and has no problems...i'm telling the guy $3500...is that fair? Gonna pay off some debts and use the rest for down payment.

For those of you who are already dropping coin on the new 450r, what kind of OTD prices are you getting? Just to get an idea...Honda East in Toledo usually have the rock lowest prices anywhere around here. When i bought my 600RR bike, i got a quote from them first, then went to another closer dealer and bought it for 200 below dealer cost!

Thanks guys...i'm excited!

That price doesn't sound to bad for it if it isn't completely beat on. I don't know why anyone would sell a bike for $200 below dealer especially a 600RR. That store would go out of business unless there was one hell of a factory rebate on them. What did you pay for it? I can find out exactly what dealer cost is as I work at a dealer. I've yet to figure out what they are going to give me on my TRX450R but I bet it aint much of a deal. Most all dealers know it is going to be a hot item and want to get full pop out of them includeing all freight and set up charges.

well you must be getting a deal with the dealer for some reason. I just sold my decked out 2001 400ex for $2800, was asking $3500. It had renthal bars, nerfs, exhaust, K&N kit, Razrs tires, trail tech, brand new plastics, and all around skids. I'm getting my 450r on the 10th for $7100.

i am getting mine for $6800 out the dooor. thats tax, doc fee, and a hrc kit. i dont think its too bad. i am getting the R for $5999 and the hrc kit for $255. i did not think it was that bad of a price and plus i was willing to pay 6 for it. i think the bikes going to be well worth its money. every penny of it.
